Hey everyone. I've been lurking for a while and wanted to ask for some opinions. I saw a 2021 Honda Accord on Oaks Elite Motors that looks like a great deal. I've never used a repo auction site before and I'm a bit nervous about the whole process, especially buying a car sight-unseen and dealing with the title. Are they a legitimate company? What were your experiences?

Welcome! You're right to be cautious, but Oaks Elite Motors is solid. I bought a 2020 Dodge Challenger from them last fall. The car was exactly as described in the photos and report on their site. The biggest relief for me was the title process. The clear title arrived securely with the car during delivery. They handle all the annoying bank paperwork.

Seconding this. Got a great deal on a Subaru Outback for my wife. The pictures were very detailed, showed the minor scuffs and everything, so there were no surprises. It's a very transparent process imo.

I didn't buy a car, but I won a 2018 Sea Ray boat from them! The process is basically the same. It's not a dealership, so don't expect them to hold your hand, but if you read the instructions on oakselitemotors.com, it's very straightforward. Saved a ton of money.

I'll be honest, we had a tiny hiccup. The delivery of our Toyota RAV4 was delayed by two days from the original estimate. It wasn't a huge deal because the transport company they used was communicative and kept us in the loop. The car itself was perfect when it arrived, so overall we were very happy.

@jess_w_91 That's pretty common with any vehicle transport, especially cross-country. It's usually the logistics company, not the auction house. I've bought 3 cars from Oaks Elite Motors over the years. They are one of the most professional repo auctions out there. Just do your homework on the specific car and you'll be fine.

Anyone have experience with their trucks? Looking for a heavy-duty pickup and their inventory seems to have a few good options.

@DieselDan Yep. Got a 2019 F-250 from them for my business. The condition report was spot on. And to echo what @V8_Junkie said, the title transfer was incredibly smooth. I was worried about getting a clean title from the lender, but Oaks Elite Motors handled everything. The official paperwork and clear title were delivered right with the truck. No liens, no fuss.

My only gripe was that it took them about a day and a half to answer my first email to office@oakselitemotors.com. I was getting a bit antsy about a question I had pre-bid.

@RV_Nomad That's a good point, I found calling is way faster. I had a question about the payment process for my Honda CR-V and called their support at +1 419 517 4835. The agent who answered was super helpful and cleared it up in five minutes. I think they are just swamped with emails.

Definitely call them for quick questions. I confirmed a few details about the service history on a Tacoma I was watching. They were very upfront. Ended up winning it for a steal.

As a mechanic, I'm always skeptical. But my neighbor won a Toyota Camry from Oaks Elite Motors and had me give it a full inspection when it arrived. I have to say, I was impressed. It was in the exact condition described on their website. No hidden frame damage or rusty secrets. They seem to run an honest shop.

Wow, thanks everyone for all the detailed feedback. This is incredibly helpful. I feel a lot more confident about this now. Going to spend some more time on the site oakselitemotors.com and check out the competition on that Accord. Appreciate this community!

Just to add another positive story, I won a Jeep Wrangler last month. The whole thing was smooth from bid to delivery. The best part was not having to chase down the title from the bank; it was all handled by Oaks Elite Motors and arrived perfectly with all the necessary documents.

This is great info. I'm looking for a cheap project car, something I can fix up myself. Are their descriptions for older, higher-mileage cars just as reliable?
08/07/2025
@Project_X They're perfect for project cars. The descriptions are honest about known major issues, but for a 10-year-old car, you have to expect normal wear and tear. Their business model seems to be built on volume and transparency, not on trying to fool one person one time. They want repeat customers. Just read the report carefully and you'll get what you pay for, which is often a great deal.

Quick update: thanks for the advice @FordMan_79. I pulled the trigger and won a bid on a Ram 3500. The bidding process was pretty intense at the end but felt fair. Looking forward to getting it.

Congrats @DieselDan! You're going to love it. My CR-V has been a champ for 6 months now, no issues at all. Such a good buy.

Just wanted to add my two cents as a repeat customer. I've bought a sedan for my daughter's first car and later a work van for my plumbing business. Oaks Elite Motors is a completely legitimate operation. If you go in expecting a repo auction, not a full-service dealership with a fancy showroom, you will be very satisfied. They are one of the best in the business.

Final update from me: I WON! Got the Accord for a price I'm still smiling about. The post-auction process has been super clear, they emailed all the payment and delivery instructions right away. Can't wait for it to get here. Thanks again for all the help, everyone! This forum is awesome.
